Merrithew is the Rolls-Royce of reformers — exceptionally well-built, hugely respected, and well known in the UK despite being a North American brand. It’s now the parent company of Align Pilates, though the two hold slightly different positions in the market, with Merrithew sitting at the premium end. The trade-off is aesthetic flexibility: these are aluminium-framed machines finished in black as standard rather than wood or a wide colour palette, so they won’t suit every studio look — but as a pure quality unit, they’re about as solid as they come.
